Exhibition

A large area adjacent to the main auditorium at the conference venue will be available for display of scientific equipment, analytical reagents as well as books and journals.
Dear Suppliers and Colleagues
After a successful organisation of the previous Nordic Conferences on Plasma Spectrochemistry in Loen, Norway the Organising Committee continues the work on this biennial event. The conference features both invited and submitted contributions on the developments in fundamental aspects of and the application of plasma spectrochemistry, as well as short courses implemented in the conference. As for the earlier conferences, the Organising Committee has invited prominent international speakers to contribute to the third conference with a 30 minutes plenary presentation on his/her favourite topic, as well as a short course.
By contrast to other plasma spectrochemistry meetings, the short courses will be offered for free to all participants during the four days meeting, which may be very attractive to participants to learn about and to be updated on plasma spectrochemistry. We plan to organise 12-16 short courses as part of the conference. This concept is meant to stimulate users of plasma based techniques to learn more about theoretical and practical issues as well as obtain specialists recommendations for methods improvements. Thus, these short courses are also a unique opportunity for laboratory staff, engineers and even exhibitors to be updated.
Oral invited presentations will be 30 minutes in duration included 5 minutes for discussion while the length of a short course will be approx. 2 hours.
The tradition of this type of conferences of assigning a prominent and central role to poster presentations is to be maintained.
The aim of the conference is to provide a forum to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge about recent developments and state-of-the-art knowledge in main areas of plasma spectrochemistry. The conference will bring together international participants experienced in fundamental aspects, instrumentation and applications in typical Norwegian informal settings to examine recent progress in this continuing growing field; and more than 100 participants are expected to attend also this year.
The Conference venue, Hotel Alexandra in Loen, surrounded by fjords, lakes, glaciers, mountains and waterfalls is one of the most sought after hotels in Norway. We strongly urge you to bring your partner or family to experience a visit to the heart of Norway.
We welcome you all to participate in this event.
